Egg Custard Pie

5 small or 4 large eggs, beaten together
1 12 TBSP flour
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 tsp. nutmeg
2 cups milk, scant
3 tsp vanilla

Put flour in pan with nutmeg and sugar. Pour beaten eggs over flour/sugar mixture. Gradually add mil, then vanilla. Pour into unbaked 9" pie shell. Bake in 450 degree oven for 15 minutes and then reduce oven to 350 degrees and bake the rest of time. In all, bake 30 35 minutes until pie is lightly brown and a silver knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool to serve
