Tres Leches Cake
Ingredients
- 1 Yellow Cake Mix
- 5 eggs
- 1 Tall can Evaporated Milk
- 1 can Condensed Milk (sweetened)
- 1 1/2 cups Whipping cream (Buy the Quart Size)
Instructions
- Mix cake mix as directed on box except: with 5 eggs (omit oil and reduce water to 1 cup). Bake per directions on cake mix box in greased and flowered 9 x 13 pan. While baking, whisk together the evaporated milk, condensed milk and 1 1/2 cups of whipping cream. When cake comes out of the oeven, poke holes in hot cake and pour the cream mixture over the hot cake. Cover with foil and refrigerate.
- Frosting: Beat together 1 cup of whipping cream, 1/4 cup of sugar and 1/2 tsp of vanilla. Cover the top of the cooled cake with frosting. Cover again and refrigerate.
- You can serve this alone or with fresh strawberries sweetened with sugar to taste.
