mix remaining ingredients together in a mixing bowl
pour mixture over bread crumbs
preheat oven to 350 F. This isn't done earlier so the mixture has a chance to soak into the bread crumbs.
sprinkle brown sugar over the top
bake for 45 minutes, or until top is golden.
cool a bit, serve with ice cream.
Notes
Grandma used to hide any kind of edible leftovers in the bread pudding. Old birthday cake, extra pancakes, green beans, etc. This was a good way to make sure there was never any food wasted.
